Former ‘American Idol’ contestant Corey Clark was arrested in North Little Rock, Arkansas early Monday morning on drug charges as well as an outstanding warrant from Arizona.
Clark, 27, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia according to a spokesman for the sheriff’s department in North Little Rock.
In 2003 Clark appeared on “American Idol” and was named a finalist but was later disqualified after it was discovered he had a previous arrest.
Clark has had several run-ins with the law over the past few years. He was sued by Wal-Mart in 2000 after he past more than $600 in bad checks. He was then sued the following year for passing another bad check at a grocery store. Clark was then involved in an altercation at a hotel in 2005. In 2006 Clark’s wife filed for a domestic violence protective order, he was then arrested the following month for violating that order.
Two years after Clark’s run on “American Idol” ended he accused judge Paula Abdul of coaching him and initiating an affair. Those accusations were dismissed by the shows producers.
