Jimi Hendrix will soon have is own “Rock Band” video game. During an interview, Janie Hendrix, the controller of the guitar legend’s assets, released in an L.A. Times interview that a Hendrix edition of “Rock Band” will be out by the end of the year.
The statement was made while discussing the results from Sony Music’s licensing deal for the Hendrix master recording last year. Officials at “Rock Band” publisher MTV Games or developer Harmonix denied response to request to comment by the press.
In December, the company announced that its next artist-based game would focus on Green Day, in which elements of the band’s career and development are chronicled.
