Joins NeXplore Advisory Board

 

NeXplore Corporation (OTC: NXPC), today announced the addition of the distinguished Korean businessman and scholar Tae-Hee Yoon to the NeXplore advisory board.

 

Tae-Hee Yoon, senior vice president for Projects International, a Washington-based advisory firm that facilitates joint-venture projects for clients in foreign countries, has many decades of experience in international business and finance, including a distinguished twenty-three-year tenure as a senior official with the World Bank.

 

Mr. Yoon is a founding chairman of Korea Economic Intelligence (KEI), a New York-based business consulting firm serving U.S. clients interested in doing business in Korea, and a senior advisor to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, DC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group focused on promoting sustainable private sector investment in developing countries. Mr. Yoon represents the IFC in Korea and oversees its interests in projects representing more than $3 billion of investments.

In addition to his work with Projects International, Korea Economic Intelligence and the International Finance Corporation, Mr. Yoon currently serves as chairman of Arirang TV in Seoul (The Korea International Broadcasting Foundation), and as a member of the Korea-US Wisemen Council, a group of eight leading thinkers who advise the presidents of both countries on bilateral issues. Other senior positions include chairing firms involved in advisory work on business and economic issue, mergers and acquisitions and international private equity.

 

From 1970 until 1993, Mr. Yoon was a senior official of the World Bank (IBRD) in Washington, DC. He retired as operational division chief for World Bank. Other posts during his career included, deputy department director for Asia projects and deputy division chief. Mr. Yoon served in Kabul in 1974–1977 as chief of its World Bank\IFC Resident Mission.

 

After retiring from the World Bank, Mr. Yoon became CEO of Coryo Research Institute in Seoul and held leadership positions in other Coryo entities, including the Coryo Merchant Bank. From 1995–1998, he served as chairman and CEO of Coryo International in New York, a NASD member securities firm.

Mr. Yoon also served as vice chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), Financial Advisory Services (2000 -2001); and was president of Seoul University of Foreign Studies (2002 -2004).

 

Tae-Hee Yoon received his Bachelor of Law degree from the Dong Kuk University Law School in Seoul, an MPA degree from the Seoul National University School of Public Administration (where he was an Outstanding Seoul National University Scholar), and his PhD in agricultural economics from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Yoon was a Fulbright Scholar in 1964. He currently serves as an Adjunct Full Professor of Applied Economics and Statistics at Clemson University in South Carolina since 1990, and served as chairman of the Korean Government’s Presidential Fund Honor Scholarship Committee in Washington, DC (1988–1993).
