The paternity test proved that Murphy was the father, but Brown’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, said “paternity has not been legally acknowledged.” Allred also says that Murphy “has not paid one penny of child support” and Brown is going to court to gain a reasonable amount of child support.
“Murphy was promising to do the right thing but to date he has not done the right thing. Mr. Murphy can have all the babies he chooses to have, but his responsibility needs to be to his own children. [Brown] is seeking sole physical and legal custody,” Allred says.
“I want [my daughter] to know that she has two parents,” Brown said. Murphy’s rep has not commented.
