Nas, John Mayer and the Dave Matthews Band are scheduled to perform a free concert at Virginia Tech on September 6. The concert will be free to all current students, faculty and staff, as well as students who graduated this past fall and spring semesters. This is the first full weekend of school for the Blacksburg campus and this event plans to kick off the school year with a lot of hope and enthusiasm.
The school suffered the worst school shooting tragedy in U.S. history on April 16 when a student killed 33 students, including himself. With this concert, the school can start anew and bring liveliness back to campus.
