“Prison Break” Star Lane Garrison Sent to Prison

In a case of art imitating life “Prison Break” star Lane Garrison was sent to a California correctional facility for 90 days while a judge decides on a sentence for vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving.

Garrison, 27, will be evaluated while in custody to determine if probation could be an alternative to a longer sentence. As it stands he is facing up to six years and eight months for the December 2006 car crash that killed one of his passengers.

Police determined that Garrison’s blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit and that he had cocaine in his system when the accident occurred. There were three teenagers in the vehicle when Garrison was driving, 17-year-old Vahagn Setian was killed while two 15-year-old females were injured.

Sentencing for Garrison will be delivered on October 31. If Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox determines that Garrison is a candidate for probation then the actor could serve just the 90 days.
