Small Plane Slams into Austin, TX Office Building

A small plane has slammed into an Austin, Texas office building, igniting a large portion of that building and leaving an unknown death toll while causing several people to be taken to hospitals.

Firefighters rushed to the Echelon Building in north Austin after receiving calls that the plane hit the seven-story building. An evacuation of the building was immediately put in place and it is believed that has been completed.

According to witnesses the plane was seen flying low over the highway, banked heavily to the right and hit the building, creating what was described as a “huge fireball.”
