It's getting closer to the end of the wire every day, and though we have another year to go until the Primary election when we will official choose a candidate from each party to run in the 2008 general election, some of the has already started with the candidates as we find Hillary Clinton chastising Barack Obama over his answer to a question about meeting with leaders of some of the Middle East and Asian nations. She felt his reply that he would was lacking in safety considerations.
Many believe that Obama could be a real threat to Clinton winning the nomination for president, but there are two factors to consider in this match. Clinton's experience as a New York senator for nearly four years as well as the many political projects she undertook while she spent two terms as First Lady may work in her favor, but on the other hand, we have to ask if the United States is ready for a female president. In regards to Obama, he is very young at only 45, but then Kennedy was only 43 but with much more experience in politics.
On the other hand, we have long-term senator Joe Biden who is well-known and very powerful in the Senate. Biden has represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate since 1972, and with his experience and longevity in the Senate, he is likely to create some real tension for both Clinton and Obama. It is several months before the debates begin, and nearly a year before the primaries, so it's difficult to predict at this point who the winning contender will be for the Democratic Party. In fact, Election 2008 is likely to be one of uncertainty with many wanting to see the GOP out of power, while still others think they should remain in power. We shall have to wait until November 2008 to find out.
