Steven Tyler is to appear with Aerosmith as a headliner at U.K.’s Download Festival. The event is set to take place from June 11-13 in Leicestershire, England at Donning Park.
This will be the first time in 16 years that Aerosmith takes the stage in Donning Park. Back in 1994 they headlined the Monsters of Rock festival.
This announcement comes following 6 months of resentment between Tyler and Aerosmith following the summer tour in which their lead singer fell of the stage. The other band members bickered about Tyler’s lack of a connection with the band and made plans to work with another singer.
This past December, Tyler checked himself into rehab for a painkiller addiction. He had said that he was not going to leave the band and last month his Attorney told the managers of Aerosmith to quit speaking about a substitute singer.
