It’s been more than 25 years since Michelle Pfeiffer broke onto the Hollywood scene in the forgettable flick “The Hollywood Knights” but the 49-year-old has staying power and on Monday she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Pfeiffer thanked her parents for their support and encouraging her to follow her dreams in becoming an actress. Of her mom Pfeiffer said “She taught me that I could do anything and that I should have a career before I get married” while she said her dad “taught me that you can make something of yourself if you work hard.”
The “Hairspray” star has been nominated for three Oscars (Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys and Love Field) and has had lead roles in “Batman Returns,” “I Am Sam,” and “White Oleander.”
While Pfeiffer became a recognized star after the flop “Grease 2” her fame shot even higher when she starred alongside Al Pacino in the Brian De Palma classic “Scarface.”
