Boyfriend Sought in Death of NYU Professor’s Daughter

The decomposing body of Boitumelo McCallum, the daughter of NYU Professor Teboho Moja, was discovered Sunday night at a New York University faculty apartment.

On Sunday police responded to several residents complaints about an odor coming from the room and when they forced their way into a locked bedroom they found McCallum’s body wrapped in a sheet.

Residents told investigators that they had seen McCallum alive on Wednesday. That was the same night her boyfriend was reportedly seen at the apartment.

Police believe that McCallum, who had been going to school at Mills College in Oakland, California, was killed on Thursday. An autopsy was performed on Monday but the cause of death was inconclusive.
