Usher’s mom skipped his wedding to Tameka Foster

Usher’s mom and former manager, Jonetta Patton, wasn’t there to see her son tie the knot with Tameka Foster. After cancelling their wedding, the couple was quietly married in a civil ceremony on August 3 but the mother of the groom was missing.

Reports claimed that Usher and his mother had problems because Patton didn’t like Foster. Foster, who is pregnant with Usher’s child, denied the rumors and said they cancelled the wedding because of problems with Usher's mother. She blamed the cancellation on a 'pregnancy scare' but insists that she and the baby are fine now.

The ceremony was held at Usher’s lawyer’s office in Atlanta, but Ushers mother was no where in sight. Patton reportedly chose to go to a day spa instead of the ceremony.

“Some people didn’t know about [the civil ceremony] until a day later. But that Usher and Tameka for you. One thing one day and a whole other thing the next,” a source said. 

The rap singer and his new wife plan to make up to their friends and family by throwing a party in Atlanta soon.
