Singer Busta Rhymes sued for assaulting a man

Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, is facing a lawsuit from a man who claims he was attacked by the hip-hop singer. Roberto LeBron is suing Rhymes on claims that the singer and his nine bodyguards kicked him in the head after he spat on Rhymes’ car. The lawsuit was filed Monday at the New York State Supreme Court.

LeBron, 20, claims he sustained injuries including a concussions and a split lip. His lawyer, Mark Kressner, says they are seeking compensatory damages as well as punitive damages. “They proceeded to beat the hell out of him,” said Kressner of his client.

“Nothing has been proven yet,” said Rhymes’ lawyer Scott Leemon.

 

Rhymes is facing other criminal charges including assaulting a driver, driving with a suspended license, and driving while impaired.

 

Rhymes had a number one album, “The Big Bang.” Some of his singles include “Touch It,” “I Love My B***h,” “New York S**t,” and “In The Ghetto.”
