Aerosmith Frontman Completes Treatment

Steven Tyler has reportedly completed a 30-day stint in a treatment center for an addiction to painkillers.

Despite all the high-profile warnings about the dangers of prescription addiction, many celebrities are still falling prey. Rocker Steven Tyler is one of the latest, taking a hiatus from his job as Aerosmith frontman to battle a painkiller addiction. It was reported in late January 2010 that he had completed 30 days of intensive treatment and is on his way back to health.

The problem began when the man known for his energetic stage performance tried to treat the serious aches and pains he was suffering from because of numerous falls and injuries while performing. So many who eventually have a problem with prescription medication start out taking it for very real ailments and rockers often experience injuries on the road. In treatment, facilities like The Canyon (which did not treat Tyler) use alternative therapies to get that pain under control.
