An amateur paleontologist who was on site during a dig to build a home discovered two Plateosaurus dinosaurs. The discovery was made in Frick, a municipality of Laufenburg in Switzerland.
The area around Frick has gained a reputation as being a hotspot for Plateosaurus finds. The two Plateosauri discovered were separated by approximately 30 feet. Scientists believe they died after they were trapped in a marsh while migrating.
Plateosaurus dinosaurs have been measured up to 33 ft. from head to tail. They were herbivores who could stand on their rear legs to reach food high above them.
