Angelina Jolie denies endorsing a presidential candidate, says “not interested” in becoming president

Angelina Jolie is denying reports that she is supporting U.S. presidential candidate John Edwards. The Oscar winning actress said that she has not endorsed any candidate yet. Jolie said she is studying the candidate’s positions before she makes a decision.

“There are many false stories that circulate about me, but the one I feel I need to address, because it is about such an important topic, is that I have not decided to endorse John Edwards, or any other presidential candidate,” Jolie said. “Like many Americans, I am learning more about the candidates’ records and positions but at this time I have not yet made an endorsement.”

Jolie also says that she is not interested in running for president. She says she is too bust with her humanitarian work, kids, and acting to have time to be president. Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt have four children together, one biological daughter and three adopted children. She also admits that she enjoys her freedom to much to be president.

“I’m not interested. I feel like you can get so much more done if you stay out of politics,” Jolie said. “I’ve many things to do. So many kids! I’m able to go to Washington and meet with politicians on all different issues and get involved with different things and have the freedom to go around the world and do different things.”

Jolie is currently in Chicago with Pitt and their children finishing filming in her latest movie ‘Wanted.’
