Doug Davis Steady as it Gets for D'backs

Doug Davis surrendered two runs in seven innings against the Pirates on Thursday to record his ninth win of the season.

Davis gave up five hits and three walks while striking out three. Both runs he allowed came on a two-run shot by Jason Bay in the fourth.

Today's outing was the seventh straight quality start for Davis, who has four wins while lowering his ERA almost a half point during that span.

Doug Davis was traded to the D'backs in this pass winter from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Davis has really regain the feel for his cut-fastball and has cut down on walks which has lead to many of his problems.
