Blue Jay's Marcum flirst with no-hitter vs KC

A calf injury caused Shaun Marcum to be removed after 6 2/3 innings of one-hit ball on Friday.

Marcum lost his no-hitter on an infield single to Billy Butler and was pulled right away, as the calf had been noticeably bothering him for at least an inning.

Marcum is 8-4 this season for the Jays with an 3.63 era.

Dustin McGowan his teammate flirted with a no-hitter in June against the Rockies.

This is a great sign for the Blue Jays knowing that they have someone other than Roy Halladay who will give them consistent performances on a given day.
