Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has once again given a different answer on the topic of abortion.
Mitt Romney again flip-flopped when it came to talk on the topic of abortion.
A latest convert to pro-life federalism, the consideration has been that Mitt Romney supports overturning Roe v. Wade, however, believes that conclusions about abortion should be left up to states. At least, that’s something everybody considered as that’s what he had told us earlier…
But now, it seems that he likes abortion dealt with at the federal level and the matter t be left up to the states, in spite of everything. He is willing for the constitution amended to ban it in all fifty states. Or, in any case, that’s what a typical person favoring the Human Life Amendment bit of the GOP Party Platform would stand for.
With Mitt, however, you never can say (perhaps he supports the goals behind closed doors, but his open policy stance is that he doesn’t favor it– who knows).
But in case it is true, that signifies that Romney has now moved out of the conventional stuffs of the Republican Party and way out of the broader American mainstream.
Most of the persons, along with most Republicans, are against it as they think that it should not be left on federal level. This is unabashed pandering to the theocons who believe that their religious visions should be imposed at the federal level, and other sensible Republicans should observe it for what it is and distance themselves from it.
