Hilary Duff sends congrats to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

Hilary Duff had a two and a half year romance with ‘Good Charlotte’ frontman Joel Madden before they broke up in November 2006. She was reportedly not happy when Madden began dating Nicole Richie so soon after their split. Richie and Madden recently announced that they where expecting a child together.

But now the 19-year-old actress seems to have moved on. Reports claim that Duff has congratulated the couple on their baby news. “After they appeared on Good Morning America, Hilary breezily texted Joel congratulations on the pregnancy, and Joel warmly responded,” a source said.

Duff’s change of heart might have something to do with her new love, New York Islander hockey player Mike Comrie. “Hilary plays it coy, but she’s really into him. He’s the first guy she’s been serious about since splitting with Joel,” the insider claims.
