David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Eddie’s 16-year-old son Wolfgang will be taking the stage in Charlotte, N.C. Sept. 27 to start their long awaited reunion tour as Van Halen.
With David Lee Roth back at the helm it is unclear what the odds of the band actually making through their planned December ending tour but tickets for several of their shows will go on sale Aug. 18.
Missing from the tour will be original bassist Michael Anthony who left the band in 2006.
Having formed in 1974, Van Halen has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and earned the distinction of holding the record for most #1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock list.

(Palace of Auburn Hills); Oct. 24: Minneapolis (Target Center); Oct. 26: Kansas City, Mo. (Sprint Center); Oct. 28: St. Louis (Scottrade Center); Oct. 30: Boston (TD Banknorth Garden); Nov. 3: East Rutherford, N.J.
