2010 Winter Olympics Results Alpine Skiing Women’s Super-G Finals: Lindsey Settles for Bronze as Austria’s Andrea Fischbacher Takes Gold
Lindsey Vonn said she had accomplished what she set out to do after winning gold during the women’s alpine skiing downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics and on Saturday she managed to pick up a little more hardware after taking bronze in the women’s Super-G.
While Vonn snagged her second medal of the Olympics the gold went to Austria’s Andrea Fischbacher who finished in 1:20.14 for her first medal of the Games. Fischbacher just missed the podium in the women’s downhill, finishing fourth so Saturday’s win was a bit of pay back.
Fischbacher edged Slovakia’s Tina Maze by .49 seconds in the Super-G, leaving Maze with the silver, a big improvement over her 18th place finish in the downhill.
