Manager Grady Little hinted Tuesday that LHP Eric Stults will be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to take the rotation spot vacated when the Dodgers moved Mark Hendrickson to the bullpen.
Stults pitched okay during a spot start earlier this season, but he isn't expected to have much fantasy value.
Eric Hull will likely be returned to the minors when Stults is called up to start Friday's game.
Dodgers third baseman Nomar Garciaparra was put on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday when it became clear the strained left calf he had tried to play through for more than a week wasn't going to get any better without rest.
The injury is believed to have happened in the fifth inning on Aug. 4, when Garciaparra ran from first base to third on a long fly ball by Ramon Martinez that was dropped by Arizona right fielder Justin Upton.
Garciaparra hesitated to make sure the ball wasn't caught, and that was when he felt something in the calf.
