Manny Ramirez has said the 2010 MLB season will likely be his last in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform but did not say if he planned on retiring at the end of the year.
Ramirez, 37, appeared at the Dodgers spring training clubhouse on Monday and made the announcement, telling reporters “I won't be here next year, so I just want to enjoy myself,'' Ramirez said. "I don't know [if I'll play next year]. I just know I'm not going to be here. When the season is over, I will see where I'm at.”
The 12-time All-Star is entering the final year of his two-year, $45 million contract with the Dodgers. He enters the season with 546 career home runs and a .313 average.
