Ving Rhames reveals truth behind caretaker’s death

Ving Rhames opens up about the death his caretaker, Jacob Adams, and what really happened. Adam’s was found dead in the actors yard and police believed that Adams was mauled to death by four of Rhames’ dogs.

“My dogs are family dogs. Jacob didn’t have any bites on his face or neck. He had scratches to the middle of his torso as if the dogs were trying to pull him over,” Rhames explains. “He had a few bite marks on his arms and legs, but there were only two imprints on the top and two on the bottom meaning the dogs didn’t clamp down on him in an aggressive fashion.”

Rhames also said the coroner proved that Adams did not die from the dogs or a heart attack, like was later believed. Instead, because of the lack of blood, they believe that Adams may have had a brain aneurysm. “They’re doing a toxicology report. They will know [report results] on six to eight weeks. Closure for me will be when the coroner says what was the cause of death,” Rhames says.

“He was much more than a caretaker. He really became a member of the family,” Rhames says.

“It’s almost like his spirit is still here,” Rhames added.

Rhames screen credits include all three “Mission Impossible” films with Tom Cruise and “Pulp Fiction” with John Travolta.
