Democrats See Clinton As A White House Potential

As the most experienced among the Democrats seeking for nomination to the 2008 presidential election, Sen. Hillary Clinton is seen by many as the most viable candidate to for president next year. According to the poll conducted by CNN, Clinton is leading over Sen. Barrack Obama and Sen. John Edwards in terms of leadership and experience. She reportedly garnered 47 percent of the votes for leadership while Obama and Edwards got 22 percent and 13 percent respectively. Clinton also got the highest vote on the question as to who is the most qualified to become Commander-in-chief with 46 percent compared to Obama's 15 percent and Edwards 13 percent.

On the question as to who has the best chance of winning the 2008 Presidential election, 55 percent of the respondents said that it Clinton while 19 percent said its Obama and 12 percent said its Edwards. The confidence of Democrats on the capacity of the Clinton to lead the country is evident in the large margin that she garnered over her major opponents. Note that about 72 percent of the registered Democrats who participated in the poll said that Clinton can beat the GOP nominee while only 25 percent of them said no.

Experts believe that given the overwhelming support that Clinton got is getting from Democrats; she could become the first lady President of the country. Being the only woman aspiring to become a nominee for president, Clinton is most likely the person who could bring about a lot of changes in the country.
