Atlanta Falcons Commit Three Turnovers, Still Beat Buffalo Bills

With Michael Vick likely gone for the season the Falcons have rested their hopes on Joey Harrington and while he didn’t lead any touchdown drives he did prove effective in moving the ball as Atlanta beat the Buffalo Bills 13-10 Friday night.

The first half featured a total of three field goals as Atlanta went into halftime with a 6-3 lead.

Buffalo scored on a 10 yard touchdown pass from Trent Edwards to Roscoe Parrish in the third quarter to take a 10-6 advantage but the Falcons found the endzone with less than two and a half minutes remaining in the game when Chris Redman found George Cooper on a 1 yard pass.

The Bills were called for 12 penalties in the game for a total of 67 yards while the Falcons were only whistled on 3 calls for 15 yards.

Atlanta may have suffered another set back at the quarterback position as D.J. Shockley was carted off the field in the fourth quarter. Before he suffered a left knee injury Shockley had completed 4-5 passes for 46 yards.
