Former U.S. VP Dick Cheney Hospitalized with Chest Pains

Former U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney has been hospitalized at George Washington University Hospital after experiencing chest pains earlier in the day.

Cheney, 69, is said to be resting comfortably after doctors administered an angiogram test to examine his coronary arteries. That test apparently revealed Cheney may need to undergo further treatment on Tuesday.

Cheney, who has a history of heart problems, served eight years as vice-president under President George W Bush. In 2001 he was fitted with a pacemaker and has had four heart attacks  as well as quadruple bypass surgery.
