Clinton's Invisible Ad Sparked Controversy

The recently released ad campaign of Senator Hillary Clinton entitled “Invisible” has become the subject of talks in different sectors of society. Many supporters of the Bush Administration called the campaign as “anti-Bush” and many of them cried foul. However, for those people who wanted to institute changes in the country, the campaign ad of Senator Clinton is a welcome break. For these people, the fact that some sectors of society are neglected by the government is something that should be known to the people in America.

Clinton's Invisible campaign ad started with Senator Clinton saying “As I travel around America, I hear from so many people who feel like they're just invisible to their government.” Later on the ad, she said “You know, if you're a family that is struggling, and you don't have health care, well you are invisible to this president.” In the ad, Clinton continues to talk about other issues like Iraq. According to her “I never thought I would see that our soldiers who serve in Iraq and Afghanistan would be treated as though they were invisible as well.” The ad ended with a promise that if she is elected president of the country, the people who had been invisible to the present administration will be given care and attention.

Critics of the ad hit on the accuracy and the lack of supporting facts of the statements made by Senator Clinton in the ad. According to many of her critics, her accusation that President Bush did not give attention to single mothers, the veterans and the people who needed health care is a fallacy.
