Placido Polanco Feeling Better

Placido Polanco, who missed his fourth straight start Friday due to the flu, is reportedly feeling much better.

Polanco could return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

For the fourth consecutive game, he wasn't in the starting lineup, but said his fever was gone and that he was feeling better.

After three days of being so sick he could hardly move, Kenny Rogers felt better on Friday -- and not only moving, but eager to get back to his other recovery.

Rogers has been on the disabled list since July 26 because of inflammation in his left elbow.

"Justin Verlander got me," Rogers said of getting the flu.

"You'd think he could have given me something else -- like his fastball."

When Verlander heard that Rogers was kidding about who spread the flu throughout the clubhouse, he kidded back.

"Kenny would have more fun with my fastball than I would with his," Verlander said.
