Kingfisher, Oklahoma residents evacuated after severe flooding

Hundreds of people in Kingfisher, Oklahoma have been forced from their homes as remnants of Tropical Strom Erin sweep through the area causing flash flooding. A nearby river flooded its banks forcing people to leave their homes, power lines where knocked down and several swift water rescues have been reported.

The National Weather Service issued flood and flash flood warnings for central and eastern regions of Okla. and say that some areas got about 10 inches of rain. Many homes are sitting under water, and high winds and tornados have also caused significant damage.

 

Meanwhile, Texas is still seeing the effects of Erin. The state got nearly a foot if rain in some areas and at least five people are reported dead. In some areas flood warnings are still in affect.
