Chris Capuano Struggles Continue

Chris Capuano wasn't involved in the decision after yielding five runs in 6 1/3 innings against the Reds on Sunday.

The Brewers ended up losing the game anyway and are now 0-16 in the last 16 games started by the Capuano.

The left-hander certainly has been a liability during that stretch, but there's been quite a bit of luck working against him as he does have four quality starts during that stretch.

Despite the tough patch of outings, Capuano still has solid peripherals and is a candidate for a rebound.

However, manager Ned Yost said Capuano was fighting for his job in this outing, and today's results might get him removed in favor of Manny Parra.

Prince Fielder and Bill Hall hit two-run shots while J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun added solo blasts to account for all six of the Brewers' runs.

For Fielder it was his 38th homer, lengthening his lead in the National League race while moving within one long ball of Alex Rodriguez for the major league lead.
