Manny Ramirez Will Not Remain With Dodgers Next Season

Manny Ramirez stated on Monday morning that he doesn’t expect to remain with the Los Angeles Dodgers after this season.  Although he hasn’t been told by the team that they’re not planning to re-sign him, Ramirez seems quite sure that this is the case, having said that he “won’t be here next year.”  He admits that he’s only speculating, but that it wouldn’t be realistic to expect a contract extension from the Dodgers.

Following a trouble-filled season, Ramirez enters the last year of his contract unsure of his future in baseball.  Although he has enjoyed his time in Los Angeles, he is waiting until the end of the season to decide whether or not to retire.
