Only 266 votes were cast at the Alabama straw poll but of those, 216 were cast for Ron Paul. His 81% victory was 16 times more than the second place candidate, Mitt Romney who received only 14 votes. Reverend John Killian spoke on behalf of Ron Paul and received a standing ovation.
None of the major candidates showed up at the event but Duncan Hunter showed interest in showing up.
