The National Governors Association (NGA) has announced that it has awarded Intel, Union Pacific, and UnitedHealthcare with its annual Public-Private Partnership Awards. The companies were recognized during the closing session of the 2010 NGA Winter Meeting. This marks the fourth year in which the awards were received, recognizing NGA Corporate Fellow companies who have partnered with a governor’s office for the implementation of a program or project to positively affect the state’s citizens.

Intel was nominated by the Arizona Governor Jan Brewer for its commitment to education in the state. Union Pacific was nominated by the Nebraska Governor Dave Heinement for its Principals’ Partnership program. UnitedHealthCare was nominated the Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri for the successful operation of its employee health and wellness initiative, Get Fit, RI.
