Hudson Horizons Launches an Online Marketplace for Students, DormRoomNotes.com
Hudson Horizons creates online student resource website that allows college students to buy and sell class notes and study guides

The web development team at Hudson Horizons designed and developed the website from the ground up, utilizing MS SQL Server and ASP.Net technology. The e-commerce integration was performed via PayPal using two methods:
• Collection of funds via PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN)
• Disbursement of funds via PayPal mass payout function
Members have the ability to maintain a cash balance or transfer funds directly to their PayPal accounts.
Hudson Horizons also integrated a PDF conversion process into the DormRoomNotes.com website that allows for on-the-fly conversion of Word and text files into Adobe PDF format. “The conversion is helpful when dealing with students that use different operating systems. The PDF file format is used extensively online and was the best solution for the project requirements”, explains Matt Mayernik, VP of Web Development for Hudson Horizons.
DormRoomNotes.com allows students to choose a price, based on the quality of their notes, and upload the files to this online marketplace for other students to purchase.
