Alex Rodriguez Belts League-Leading 40th Homer
New York Yankees shortstop Alex Rodriguez knocked in his league-leading 40th home run last night, but it wasn't enough as the Yankess lost to the Los Angeles Angels, 7-6. He also drove in three runs on three hits. Rodriguez is currently batting .308 and leads the American League in RBIs (118), runs (113), and slugging percentage (.629).
The Yankees are 70-55, five games behind the division-leading Boston Red Sox, and currently second in the AL Wildcard behind the Seattle Mariners.
