Larry Johnson Ends Holdout, Agrees to Five Year Deal with Kansas City Chiefs

Larry Johnson and the Kansas City Chiefs can put the last 25 days behind them and concentrate on the 2007 NFL season now that a five-year deal worth $45 million is in place.

Johnson reported to the Chiefs practice field on Tuesday ready to build on his 2006 season that saw him gain 1789 yards and collect 17 touchdowns as Kansas City’s featured back.

After carrying the ball an NFL record 416 times last season Johnson will have two preseason games to get back in form for the regular season. Kansas City opens their season Sept.9 against the Houston Texans.
