Barnes & Noble Won’t Stock O.J. Simpson Book “If I Did It”
O.J. Simpson’s controversial book “If I Did It” won’t be seeing the shelves at Barnes & Noble. According to Ann Binkley, a spokeswoman for the book retailer, “our buyers don't feel there will be enough of a demand to carry it in our stores.”
Simpson penned the book as a fictionalized account of how he would have killed his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Both Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were brutally killed in 1994 and after a lengthy trial O.J. Simpson was acquitted of all charges.
The former NFL star and Hall of Famer was later found guilty in a civil case surrounding the murders and ordered to pay $38 million to the family of Ronald Goldman.
While Barnes & Noble won’t stock the book they will make it available online as well as by special order.
Rival retailer, Borders Group Inc., has said that they will stock the book but will not promote the work.
