Colorado's Cherry Creek High School has added arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history to their coaching staff. John Elway is the new quarterbacks coach for the school, where his son, Jack, is the starting quarterback. Elway has always been active in Jack's playing career since Jack was in Pop Warner.
John's father, also named Jack, was instrumental in John's development at an early age, so this is something that is recurring in the Elway household. Jack was a college coach during the 1970s and 1980s and a scout for the Denver Broncos until retiring in 2000. Jack Elway passed away in 2001.
The Hall of Fame quarterback won two consecutive Super Bowls with the Broncos and has set numerous college and professional records.
The young Jack Elway has not yet committed to a college, but has take unofficial trips to Oregon and UCLA.
Cherry Creek starts their season Saturday versus Monticello.
