Zac Efron reportedly turns down ‘High School Musical’ movie role

According to reports ‘High School Musical’ star Zac Efron has turned down the offer to star in the big-screen version of the TV hit. Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, his co-star and girlfriend, where reportedly offered $1 million dollars to do the movie, but allegedly are not going to do it.

A source claims with Disney “only offering them $1 million each” that the pair “aren’t going to do it.”

A spokesmen for Disney says, “We are still in negotiations with the entire cast, but we don’t comment on the specifics of negotiations.”

‘High School Musical 2’ recently premiered on TV, and broke TV records. The soundtrack has topped the Billboard charts.
