Lindsay Lohan gets jail time for DUI charges
Lindsay Lohan got jail time for her two DUI cases under a plea deal Thursday. The actress escaped felony charges and got away with six misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence.
“Lohan received the same sentence that anyone else with a second DUI conviction would get. She got no special treatment,” said Danette Meyers, Deputy District Attorney.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star was sentenced to a mandatory four days jail time, three years probation, and an 18 month alcohol education program. Lohan will only end up serving 24 hours in jail as she was given credit for one day already served and prosecutors agreed she could do 10 days community service in place of two days in jail.
Lohan must serve her time before January 2008.
