Former Indiana Pacers guard Reggie Miller has decided against a comeback to basketball. This decision came after two weeks of strenuous physical workout to see if he was physically ready.
After speaking to many friends, family members and basketball players, most of his advice was geared to a comeback. The people around him were excited for the opportunity and supported him coming back to the NBA.
In the end, he said that he was not mentally ready to return.
Miller, the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers, played 18 seasons with the Indiana Pacers. Over the last month, the Boston Celtics continued their offseason overhaul by contacting Miller to see if he wanted to return. After adding Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to the team, they figured Miller would be offer the veteran leadership to get an NBA championship this season, something Miller, Garnett Allen have never accomplished.
He has ruled not only ruled out coming back this season, but coming back in general. Miller is sticking to retirement for good.
