Raser Technologies Inc. (NYSE: RZ) reported Tuesday that the environmental energy technology company named a new chief financial officer, according to Associated Press.
John Perry, who starts his new position on March 10, replaces Martin Petersen, who left the company in December for another job.

Perry, 42, served as chief executive officer, director and president for Nord Resources. Prior to 2005, he served as chief financial officer, senior vice president, treasurer and secretary at Nord. At Nord, he led the company's initial public offering.
Before Nord, Perry held different positions at BHP Billiton Base Metals and BHP Copper Inc., where he served as president and vice president for finance and administration.
