CBS's The Power Of 10 Stirs Interest In Gun Question.

Anti-crime policies aren't as interesting as self-defense, even to New Yorkers, it seems.

Drew Carey, host of the CBS hit The Power Of 10, posed a controversial question to a contestant on his Wednesday August 22nd show: How many people believe Americans should be allowed to own automatic weapons?

The answer was an impressive 41%.

Author and Columnist John Longenecker took notice and made observations in his feature column Good For The Country, and finds interesting comments from readers on liberty enthusiast websites Keep And Bear Arms.com and Free Republic.com

"And why not?" says Longenecker. "If this is on the subject of automatic weapons, I’d love to see polls on self-defense and concealed carry of more common handguns (as if I didn’t know)." he adds.

A Zogby International Poll this same week has a similar question polling up at 66% opinion for no new gun laws

Longenecker's analysis and observations appear at www.GoodForTheCountry.com and in syndication at various patriotic news outlets.
