Bishop Thomas Weeks Turns Himself In For Attack on Juanita Bynum

Bishop Thomas Weeks has turned himself into the police Friday morning for the attack on estranged wife Juanita Bynum.

Weeks surrendered to the Fulton County Jail and faces aggravated assault and terrorist threat charges.

Weeks, the founder of Global Destiny churches, allegedly attacked Bynum after the two met at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel near Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Tuesday. Their interactions became physical around 4 am when Weeks allegedly choked and kicked Bynum. A bellman pulled Weeks off and he fled the scene.

Bynum, a nationally-renowned evangelist and New York Times best-selling author, was taken to Piedmont Hospital for her bruises.

The two apparently were in the hotel to reconcile their marriage. They were married in 2002 in a televised wedding.
