USAElectionPolls.com: Analysis of Debates Suggest that Media is Silencing Longshots

USAElectionPolls.com has recently analyzed the latest Democratic and Republican debates held by ABC News and found that a disproportionate amount of time was given to the top tier candidates -- at the expense of the lower tiered candidates.

They analyzed the amount of words spoken by each of the candidates at the debates as the means of judging how much a candidate was allowed to talk.

Republican Debate Analysis

  • Mitt Romney spoke more than 3 times the number of words as Ron Paul
  • Second half of the debate seemed to be purposely skewed to favor the top tier candidates.

Democratic Debate Analysis

  • Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich barely spoke in the first half of the debate.
