Travis Henry, the recently acquired running back of the Denver Broncos, has reportedly been named as the father of at least nine different children by nine different women.
The reports originally surfaced in an article that appeared in the Denver Post on Aug. 26 and detailed Henry’s recent order to pay $3,000 a month to support a child he had three years ago with a woman from Georgia.
Henry, 28, has been ordered to pay child support for seven of the children by various judges in the southeast. The 7-year NFL star began his career with the Buffalo Bills in 2001 and joined the Tennessee Titans in 2005. After two seasons in Nashville Henry was released and the Denver Broncos signed the running back in March.
In the Denver Post article Henry didn’t shy away from the allegations that he was the father of nine children saying, “People can judge me all they want, but only God can judge me.”
Shiel Edlin, Henry’s attorney in the recent Georgia court decision, was quoted as saying “I know these are a lot of kids, and there might be some questions about it, but he's a really committed father.”
