Democracy Corps is a liberal based and progressive group that is attempting to provide the public at large with results to many different polls that focus on the workings of the government as well as the citizens’ reflections on the government. Democracy Corps feels that the citizens of the United States should focus more on the issues of politics, and therefore they do polls and release the information with the hope of getting even more citizens well informed and more apt to vote in general elections and to make themselves heard.
Democracy Corps does their own polling, as well as analyzing other polls that have been published. When they are doing their own polling they rely mostly on polls that are done via random telephone calling, which insures that the majority of what they are reporting is actually a random poll and therefore does reflect what the citizens think.
Democracy Corps also takes time to analyze its polls instead of just sending them out there. With each poll that it releases, it provides information as to why these polls are important, what the citizens of the United States can learn from the polls, and what the country is saying by the results of the polls. There are many different issues that Democracy Corps deals with, and the most important of these issues directly pertains to the country at large and their feelings.
