George Washington University - GWU Battleground

Most of the time, a poll or a polling group is slanted in one way or the other. This is because humans and interest groups are in charge of all of the various polling groups and other groups that take on the issues of polling. No matter how fair and just the organization or the group seems to be, or claims to be, there are going to be opinions that seep their way into the polls and therefore they are going to be slanted in some way.

However, the GWU Battleground is done in a much different way. This group is headed up by one prominent Republican strategist, and one prominent democratic strategist. Having these two people in charge make the GWU Battleground one of the more successful polling groups because at its root lies the debate between the two sides, and the two sides of the agenda are continuously being checked by the other.

What this means is that the questions that are asked are developed by both sides, and lead to the fairest questions in order to do the polling. Also, the times that the calls are made, the locations that are called, and the other various aspects are both decided together by people on two different sides of the issue. What this leads to is the idea that there can really be no way that is fairer for deciding the methods of polling or the ideas that are being polled. It works such that it has a very good track record for votes and for election outcomes.
